” Beautifully presented and luxuriously appointed…”

We have stayed here on three separate occasions for between two and seven nights in 2010. We were amazed how nice the house was when I first saw it.

It is beautifully presented and the rooms are luxuriously appointed and SPOTLESSLY clean! Two of the rooms have both shower and bath; the double shower and body jets to the master are amazing.

There are wide-screen plasma TV’s and an IPod docking station.

It’s also in a great location, with views that go on forever. It’s close enough to town shops, eateries and cafes, so we often walked.
The maid was great and truly made us feel welcome.

” Easily the most comfortable bed…”

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of our holiday in South Africa. After sleeping in a lot of top hotels, lodges and guest houses, the bed here was easily the most comfortable we slept in and was so big you got lost!

The house had very modern decor and the bath/shower looks out over the bay. You actually walk across a glass bridge to get to the master bedroom.

Plettenberg Bay is a beautiful town and the beaches are stunning although it was a tough choice to get me away from the swimming pool and summer house, where we read and tried to BBQ the South African way “Braai”.

“A better place to stay will be hard to find”.

When travelling from Cape Town via the garden route to East London a convenient half way stop is Plettenberg Bay. Plett as the locals call it is an interesting little town with plenty to see and do. From here one can explore places such as Storms River, Knysna, the Forests etc. A better place to stay over on the garden route will be hard to find.

With this in mind we stopped over in Plettenburg Bay at number 35 Cutty Sark Avenue.

On arrival we were welcomed by Antonia the housekeeper and presented with a bottle of bubbly, which, was thoroughly enjoyed and certainly settled the travel dust. This pleasant reception set the tone for the rest of our stay.

The house was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with fantastic en suite bedrooms furnished with great beds, immaculate cotton bed linen, the rooms tastefully furnished. All rooms have TV.

We made full use of the outdoor Heated pool, Jacuzzi, Outdoors lounge and, Braai area.

Upstairs is an en suite bedroom a fantastic living area, dining room and kitchen with surround sound equipment all tastefully furnished. The view from the living area is stunning encompassing the whole village and the sea.

The kitchen is well appointed and comfortable we had a lot of fun cooking on the Tappanyaki bar, this after we managed to switch the gas on.

The house is situated close to all amenities not quite within walking distance, but just far enough away so as not to disturb the tranquillity of the house.

Our departure was reluctant, if we didn’t have to be in East London on a specific date we would certainly have stayed on. We both felt that we had not spent enough time there. If the house is available in the future we will make staying there a definite in our holiday planning.
